funding for new work

S.L. Page has received Arts Council funding and a commission from Graeae to develop her new play ‘Fall’. It will be developed with director and dramaturg Selma Dimitrijevic in the studio in Cardiff and London in June 2022.

The play explores the challenges a queer woman faces due to her Bipolar Disorder, inspired by S.L.Page’s own experiences.

Digital Development • Arts Council funding

S.L. Page received Arts Council funding in November 2020 to investigate ways of working through digital platforms, using their play GAZE as a stimulus.

Working with director Tilly Branson, and an acting team of brilliant women, they explored how theatre could work in the current digital world.

The funding also allowed S.L. Page time to develop their next script, again working with a director and a range of actors to explore character, plot and themes, with a focus on accessibility. This is the first time S.L. Page has integrated BSL within one of their plays so it was a fantastic opportunity to work with d/Deaf actors.
