Risk was a poem commissioned by Greyscale Theatre Company in 2020, as part of Fuel’s Fly the Flag programme.

Fly the Flag is a unique collaboration between arts organisations and human rights charities which celebrates and reminds us of the human rights we all share.

The artists’ brief for the 2020 programme was to create work focusing on Article 25, the right to food, shelter, healthcare, social services and security.

In a year which was difficult for all, many found themselves vulnerable and in circumstances beyond their control, which put their basic human rights at risk.

The campaign for 2020 not only celebrated the inspiring work taking place in communities, but also drew attention to places where human rights were being threatened.
